last paragraph, the phrase from a nation of rugged individualism

nation of hardy reliance to a nation of hardcore liberal
conformity.
Unknown to me at
the time, the term radical individualism had already been
used by Robert H. Bork in his book, Slouching Towards
Gomorrah, published in 1996. However, the term rugged
individualism was first used by Herbert Hoover in a
presidential campaign speech delivered on October 22, 1928, and has
since become standard usage.

against immigration reform. This was in reference to
protests against the 2006 Sensenbrenner Bill--not against the
comprehensive reform proposal which followed in 2007. That
particular sentence has been changed in order to eliminate
confusion. Second, in the essay, "Illegal Immigration As a
Social Problem, Part I," (I.D. No. 131), in paragraph
26, the next-to-the-last sentence has been worded more precisely:
